Yuko Mohri. Entanglements

The staff of Yuko Mohri is one of the most important exhibitions ever devoted to the artist in Europe. Through installations site-specific fusing everyday assemblages, kinetic sculptures and circuits that respond to invisible environmental elements, Mohri transforms dust, heat, moisture e magnetism at sensory ecology. The works embody the social coexistence and the transformationin a fluid and interconnected dimension.

The title Entanglements evokes the idea of invisible links between objects, living beings, sounds and natural forces: each element is part of a complex relational networkin which the public becomes a witness to the energy flow that connects macro and micro systems. Mohri's work dialogues with the tradition of thekinetic art and with Duchamp's ready-made, but is permeated by a discreet irony that reflects cultural references from the pop to philosophy. In these organic ecosystems, environmental components generate ephemeral movements and sounds, emphasising the transformative potential of the ordinary. Accompanying the exhibition, an international monograph includes critical essays, contributions by the artist and a thematic glossary; even an illustrative manga completes the visual narrative, offering new keys to understanding Mohri's artistic practice.
