Yayoi Kusama

Le OGR Turin are presenting a major exhibition project that explores the deep connection between the quantum theory and the visual culture, ranging from cinema to pop culture and right through to the’contemporary art. Edited by Daniel Birnbaum e Jacqui Davies, the exhibition brings together works by renowned figures on the international scene such as Cerith Wyn Evans, Isa Genzken, Tomás Saraceno, Mark Leckey, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Elaine Sturtevant e Man Ray.

The beating heart of the exhibition at the Track 1 It is the iconic immersive installation created by Yayoi Kusama, entitled The Eternally Infinite Light of the Universe: Illuminating the Quest for Truth. Through a kaleidoscopic interplay of light, mirrors e reflections, the Japanese artist invites the viewer to transcend the boundaries of traditional sensory perception, erasing the boundaries between the individual and the’infinite. The exhibition explores complex scientific and philosophical concepts such as overlap, the parallel universesthe teleportation and the dark matter, offering a fresh perspective on how modern scientific research has revolutionised the way we understand the spacethe time and the reality. The exhibition is further enhanced by a programme of accompanying events, including a film festival organised in collaboration with the National Cinema Museum.
