A major cultural event dedicated to expressive dialogue, to the’inclusive art and the various aspects of the’Outsider Art. The exhibition itinerary opens with a significant solo exhibition focusing on the figure of Carlo Zinelli (1916–1974), unanimously recognised as one of the greatest masters of the’Art Brut on the international stage. The visual language and the extraordinary expressive force Some of his designs originate from the innovative studio set up at the’San Giacomo alla Tomba Psychiatric Hospital a Verona. His aesthetic exploration, which is profoundly original and still relevant today, continues to challenge traditional visual conventions, offering contemporary audiences a visual experience of the utmost modernity.
The artist’s works are now housed in prestigious institutions around the world, such as the Art Brut Collection a Lausannethe Centre Pompidou a Paris, l'American Folk Art Museum a New Yorkthe Musée Art Brut a Montpellierthe Oliva Art Centre at Portugal and the House of Art Brut a Casteggio, in the province of Pavia. The festival rounds off its programme with a major group exhibition curated by the artists of the’Atelier Ticonzero, offering a dynamic insight into contemporary forms of expression. The event is complemented by a series of guided tours, creative workshops and the cultural series entitled Visual Encounters, housed in the historic Puerari Hall a Cremona to explore the links between literature, eroticism, mediumship and the visual arts.
