The prestigious international exhibition organised by the World Press Photo Foundation, an essential landmark of the photojournalism World Cup, arrives at the iconic venues of the’Albertina Academy of Fine Arts a Turin. The exhibition presents the results of the renowned World Press Photo Competition, offering an extraordinary and powerful visual account of the events, major challenges and fundamental transformations of our time.
The Turin exhibition brings together 144 photographs produced by the 42 award-winning authors, carefully selected from tens of thousands of images from hundreds of countries. Each work on display has been assessed by regional juries and a global jury through a rigorous selection process based on visual excellence, quality of journalistic reporting and a fundamental one a variety of perspectives.
The event, promoted and organised by CIME in my capacity as Brand Ambassador for the foundation based in Amsterdam, transforms the historic headquarters of Via Accademia Albertina as a forum for critical debate. Through photographs intended for publication in even the world’s most authoritative news outlets – including Reuters, Associated Press, The New York Times, Le Monde and El País – The exhibition itinerary invites the public to reflect on contemporary complexity, fostering dialogue, awareness and a deep understanding of the social, political and environmental dynamics affecting the planet.
