The Società Promotrice delle Belle Arti di Torino hosts the exhibition Utamaro, Hokusai, Hiroshige. Geishas, Samurai and the civilisation of pleasure.

The exhibition, curated by Francesco Paolo Campione, director of the MUSEC in Lugano, and produced by Skira, presents the Japanese universe through a thematic itinerary divided into nine sections, with over 300 masterpieces and some works never presented in Italy, including prints, samurai armour, katanas, kimonos, kakemonos, from the MUSEC collections in Lugano, the Museo Arti Orientali in Venice, the MAO in Turin, the Civico Museo d'Arte Orientale in Trieste, the Fondation Baur Musée des Arts d'Extrême-Orient in Geneva and important private collections.

The selection of prints features some of the greatest masterpieces of the Ukiyo-e masters, including Hokusai, Hiroshige, Utamaro, Kuniyoshi, Yoshitoshi, Sharaku.
