The exhibition layout takes on a new permanent form , conceived as a collaborative work based on an idea by the artist and artistic director Alessandro Bulgini. This project, which was originally launched in 2023 , is situated on the third floor of the Hall B by 75 Corso Giovanni Lanza a Turin , the historic venue where the infants staying at the’I.P.I. (Provincial Institute for Children) were looked after and fed. The exhibition aims to provide an in-depth exploration of the history of the former children’s home , drawing on documents, maps and public and private archives with the first-hand accounts of the “native” men and women“ who have experienced the place first-hand.
Each space is designed as an immersive micro-world enriched with audio-visual portraits and period photographs from a historical photography exhibition organised to mark the closure of the school. The new version of the work takes on a lasting and auspicious significance , with the addition of two further projects that engage with the centre’s artistic vision : Asterisms, which features works on motherhood by Fabio Bucciarelli, Giacomo Moranzon e Giuseppe Gallo , e New Perspectivesin collaboration with the DRAW (Centre for Irregular Arts) edited by Tea Taramino, which transforms the windows along the corridor into illuminated displays featuring the artists’ works Girolamo Della Malva, Laura Biella e Luca Romano.
- A Flashback Habitat Amic* card is required for access to the exhibition, which can also be purchased online. The cost of the membership card is € 5.00.
