This exhibition highlights the fundamental role of the Christian communities at conservation, valorisation e transmission of cultural and ecclesiastical heritage through the centuries.

Edited by Silvia Gallarato with the setting up of thearchitect Danilo Manasserothe exhibition unfolds along the museum halls and the archaeological routein two thematic sections: the first tells the history of donations at Alba Cathedralwitnessed through objects and archive documents; the second is a dialogue between the sacred and contemporary art thanks to the project Rodello Artwith recent works reflecting on the meaning of the gift.

Among the works on display are: theRayed monstrance donated by Francesco Domenico Barisano, the Reliquary of St Lawrenceand one eighteenth-century planet restored thanks to funds from the8xmille. Documents such as the Sacristy Book complete a tale that unites faith, art and collective memory.
