The exhibition Another Look. Works from the Gemma Testa Collection marks the beginning of a new exhibition project at Villa and Panza Collectionfocused on the comparison between important private collections and the villa's permanent collection. Curated by Gabriella Belli, Marta Spanevello e Gemma De Angelis Testa, the exhibition presents 40 works from the collector's personal collection, many of them never exhibited to the public.

The exhibition consists of 11 rooms of the villa, both on the main floor and on the ground floor, offering an immersive journey through the many facets of the collection. The tour begins with early acquisitions, including works by Cy Twombly, Robert Rauschenberg e Mario Merzand then through the territories of theminimalist and conceptual art with works by Francesco Lo Savio, Gianni Piacentino e Joseph Kosuth.

Particularly significant is the section dedicated to the contemporary paintingwith authors such as Elizabeth Neel, Cecily Brown, Andreas Breunig e Oscar Murillowhile a selection of works explore topical issues such as thegender identity and the cultural stereotypesthrough the work of Shirin Neshat, Bill Viola, Pipilotti Rist e Marina Abramović.

A homage to Armando Testawith two historical posters and a painting in dialogue with a work by Pascale Marthine Tayou, adds a personal and unprecedented touch to the exhibition. The exhibition closes with a reflection on the sublime and on memorythanks to the works of Sabrina Mezzaqui, Adrian Paci, Ai Weiwei, William Kentridge, Grazia Toderi e Thomas Ruff.
