Tullio Pericoli. Restless lands
LANDSCAPE MUSEUM - Verbania (VB)
includedFrom Saturday 30.05.2026 to Sunday 1.11.2026
The personal Restless landscurated by Elena Pontiggia, stages the work of Tullio Pericoli through the thematic core of nature and landscape, hosted in the beautiful setting of Viani Dugnani Palace a Verbania, on the Lake Maggiore. The exhibition route brings together 50 works, half of them completely unprecedented, largely from the artist's archive. The exhibition is conceived as a journey immersive and progressive that breaks away from 19th century naturalism to embrace a language that is fully contemporary and conceptual.
The large oil paintings dialogue in a fascinating visual counterpoint with the permanent collection of the Museum Art Gallery, creating an ideal bridge with the verism and naturalism of historical masters such as Arnaldo Ferraguti, Guido Boggiani and Eugene Gignous.
The guiding image of the exhibition, The landscape observer, perfectly embodies the meaning of the exhibition: a figure overlooking a view that becomes a pretext for decoding the fragility and the geological, emotional and cultural tensions of today's world. The views of Dangers, while drawing a vague inspiration from his homeland, the Brands, rise to compositions of the soul and imagination, where colour and light evoke a enchanted grace offering a form of catharsis and consolation in the face of an increasingly threatened nature.
