The Living Sea is an extraordinary photographic exhibition leading for the first time to Milan the enchanted gaze of Hussain Aga Khan on ocean biodiversity. The images, taken in the seas of Mexico, Egypt, Tonga e MooreaThey celebrate the vibrant and fragile beauty of the underwater world, revealing shapes, colours and creatures often invisible to the human eye.
The exhibition is a collaboration between Focused on Nature (FON), a foundation set up by the Aga Khan to promote environmental awareness through photography, and Marevivo, a historic Italian association committed to protection of the sea and in promoting sustainable behaviour. Both organisations share a common mission: protecting marine biodiversity and raise awareness of the importance of Marine Protected Areasfundamental tools for the long-term conservation of marine ecosystems.
Via powerful shots and suggestive, The Living Sea invites us to reflect on our impact on the environment and the urgent need to reverse the degradation of the oceans. It is an exciting and educational visual journey, which interweaves art, science e civic engagementwith the aim of inspiring concrete and conscious change.
