included
From Tuesday 8.04.2025 to Sunday 12.10.2025

La Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation hosts the first solo exhibition in Italy of Teresa Solar Abboud, Bird Dream Machine. The project represents the final stage of a three-part exhibition cycle, developed in collaboration with the Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (CA2M) and the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA).

The search for Solar Abboud focuses on the relationship between matter, language e body productionwith a visual language that draws on both biology and technology, in a continuous interplay between natural and artificial. His works, initially born in the context of video, have taken shape over time through installations and sculptures of great impact, capable of transforming the exhibition space into a immersive environment and narrative.

On display are sculptures from the series Tuneladora (2024), characterised by shapes reminiscent of beaks, fins, bones e excavating machines. These objects are located in an ambiguous dimension, suspended between the animal and mechanical realms, evoking both archaic and future times. Arranged in a circular space, the works generate a visual rhythm that conveys a sense of swirling movementsuggesting a horizon of continuous transformation.

Bird Dream Machine is a poetic exploration of the sculpture as languagecapable of shaping meanings through matter. The exhibition concludes a cycle that has seen conceptual and formal metamorphoses, in a continuous dialogue between the different spaces that have hosted it.
