Under the sign of Diana

The exhibition offers a sensory journey through art, nature e memory linked to the area of the Maira Valley, taking as an archetype Diana, the archaic goddess of the forests and of light. The exhibition brings together eighty works, including sculptures, watercolours, paintings, photographs and collages by four female artists. Silvana Cesano He wanders along paths and through derelict sites, collecting scrap metal and rusty pieces of iron to transform the material and celebrate the power of the earth. Francesca Corbelletto (MISS-IPI), resident in Stroppo, practises a form of analogue resistance through textural collages made from vintage trimmings and wallpaper, inviting us to rediscover a pure perspective. in search of Silvia Giorsetti captures light through macro photography, transforming invisible details such as cobwebs, ice and dew into gateways to forms of balance. Finally, Simona Ghigo explores chromatic alchemy and watercolour painting as a path to rebirth and transformation, capable of creating beauty out of chaos. The initiative forms part of the third edition of the festival New Talents, devised by the Mamo Educational Foundation ETS with the’Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, edited by Ivana Mulatero.
