The exhibition space set up in the splendid surroundings of the Gamba Museum by Châtillon, entitled ‘Orbiting Station’. ‘Expressive Trajectories of the Contemporary’ forms a key part of an innovative cultural project spanning the territory of the Aosta Valley. Edited by Fortunato D'Amico and organised by the The Superintendency’s Department for Historical and Artistic Heritage and the Management of Cultural Sites, the exhibition aims to explore, in depth and in an original way, the complex relationships that exist between the’art, the technology, l'artificial intelligence and thehuman impact on the environment cosmic.
As part of this exhibition, conceived as a fully-fledged themed station within a single orbiting system, visitors will be able to admire a carefully curated selection of works by some of Italy’s most internationally recognised and acclaimed artists. The exhibition offers an immersive exploration of the major themes of light, of the cosmic trajectoriesof the perception visual and contemporary space. Through the works of masters of the calibre of Mimmo Paladino, Grazia Toderi, Gilberto Zorio, Marco Nereo Rotelli, Angelo Bonello, Daniela Pellegrini e Franco Perrotti, the exhibition explores the new and fascinating connections that link the’human being, l'universe and the technological developments of our time, prompting questions and visions about the future of humanity.
➡️ NB: LThe exhibition is a wide-ranging cultural project spread across several venues. As well as the Gamba Museum in Châtillon, it includes the MegaMuseo in Aosta, Les Maisons de Judith in Val Ferret, the Waldensian Church in Courmayeur and the Lignan Regional Astronomical Observatory in Saint-Barthélemy.
