MUSEUM LABORATORY TECHNOLOGICALLY - IVREA (TO)
includedFrom Sunday 26.10.2025 to Saturday 28.02.2026
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Technological Laboratory-Museum of Ivrea, the exhibition Slipstream celebrates the artist's first anthological exhibition Alessandro Vasapolli. The exhibition, curated by Carola Allemandipresents itself as an unprecedented synergy between contemporary art, photographic experimentation e theoretical reflectionwithin a museum that has always intertwined industrial memory e scientific innovation.
The exhibition brings together twenty-one large-format worksdivided into three basic cycles: Early Works, DéVoilées e Dance Notesmade between 2014 and 2021. Vasapolli explores the limits of visual perception through self-designed optical devices, generating images in which reality is continuously interrogated and destabilised. The subjects escape the gaze, deny themselves, dissolve in time, revealing a profound reflection on theillusion of reality and on theperceptual uncertainty.
In the concluding section, the Dance Notes shows the most mature epilogue of his journey, where the movement and the trace of the body become a metaphor for time and memory. The exhibition is consistent with the museum's mission to promote a fertile dialogue between technology, science e contemporary creativity, making Slipstream not just a retrospective, but a true conceptual and sensory immersion experience.
