The exhibition Rosanna Rossi. The pictorial work, edited by Andrea Bustorepresents an immersive journey into the expressive universe of one of the most authentic voices of theItalian contemporary art. Born in Cagliari in 1937, Rosanna Rossi trained artistically in Rome and then returned to Sardinia where he started a creative path marked by a continuous stylistic evolution. From his figurative beginnings, linked to the experiences of the Studio 58his research progressively shifts towards asensitive abstraction, filled with naturalistic references and informal connotations.

His pictorial language, strongly identifiable, is articulated between experimentation material-expressive, ready-made and solutions concretewhere colour becomes a vehicle for an intimate and intense narrative. A teacher of great depth, he has worked for decades in art education, maintaining a constant commitment to research and experimentation, also through permanent installations and unconventional materials.

The retrospective brings together emblematic works, from the famous Self-portrait 1957 up to the most recent works, restoring the coherence of a unique artistic path, marked by the ability to merging with the present timewhile remaining deeply personal. A tribute to a woman and artist who knew how to asserting one's voice in the Italian art scene, away from the spotlight but close to the beating heart of creation.
