Palazzo Arese Borromeo hosts an exhibition of international significance, conceived and organised by theGenesis Association starting in 2021.

That year, in fact, theGenesis Association launched Project Genesis. Art and Human Rightsa travelling exhibition and educational initiative, curated by Ilaria Bernardi. The project is driven by the conviction that contemporary art can be a spokesman for human rights.

The frescoed rooms of the Palace house the Genesis Collectiona collection of contemporary art works of different kinds, including paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos and installations. The collection includes works by established and emerging young artists from numerous countries, with a focus on non-Western nations and those that have faced serious human rights issues in their past or recent history.
