Temporary exhibition
Pietro Turati. Suspensions
EDUCATIONAL SILK MUSEUM - Como (CO)
includedFrom Sunday 9.11.2025 to Sunday 7.12.2025
The exhibition Suspension represents the museum debut of the young artist from Como Pietro Turati, born in 1999, already active between Milan and Como with exhibitions in important institutional spaces and galleries. The exhibition, curated by Sergio Gaddi with Chiara Ghizzoni, brings together thirty-two works, of which thirty canvases and two sculptures realised between 2024 and 2025, many of them unprecedented.
The route unfolds in the picturesque Penelope Hall of Como Silk Museum, offering an intense reflection on the condition of the suspension as a state of the soul and a dilated perception of time. The canvases depict back-to-back figures, quiet interior e city maps evoking places of waiting and contemplation, in which painting becomes an instrument of introspection. Le sculptures, instead, represent suspended hands emerging from chromatic surfaces, symbols of a missed or desired encounter, “tactile surrogates”according to the psychiatrist Nicola Molteni.
With this exhibition, Turati offers a poetic and lucid look at the present, where the viewer is invited to slow down, to pause, to let himself be crossed by a visual space that becomes inner time. A proposal intimate and powerful, which testifies to the maturity of a young author in strong growth.
