The Poldi Pezzoli Museum hosts the exhibition Piero della Francesca: The Augustinian Polyptych Reunited. Thanks to the support of the Bracco Foundation, the masterpiece by Piero della Francescaafter 555 years since its creation. The polyptych, painted for the high altar of the Augustinian church in Borgo San Sepolcro at 1469was dismembered in the 16th century. Now, eight of its panelsincluding that of St Nicholas of Tolentino belonging to the Poldi Pezzoli Museumwill be brought together with contributions from leading international museums.
The exhibition, curated by international experts, will reveal the secrets of the work thanks to diagnostic analyses supported by the Bracco Foundation. The installation, curated by Italo Rota e CRA-Carlo Ratti Associatiwill allow visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the work and appreciate its details. The event will not only provide an exciting experience for the public, but will also be crucial for the academic researchwith lectures and activities for experts. In addition to the Bracco Foundation, the exhibition has the patronage of cultural institutions and the support of technical sponsors.
