NATIONAL FILM MUSEUM - Turin (TO)
includedFrom Saturday 20.09.2025 to Monday 9.03.2026
The National Cinema Museum dedicates a major photography exhibition to Angelo Frontoniphotographer who with his baroque and ironic look captured the spirit of the 1970s and 1980s. Crazy idea. Beyond '68 takes visitors inside an immersive journey that celebrates icons of film, music, television and fashionIt conveys the atmosphere of an era undergoing radical transformations.
The journey begins in theTemple Hallwhere three giant screens suspended around the panoramic lift project Frontoni's portraits, in dialogue with film sequences by the artists themselves. Along the Helical Rampover 200 photographs portray 62 international protagonists: from Jane Fonda a Brigitte Bardot, from Claudia Cardinale a Ringo Starrup to Patty Pravosymbol of the exhibition's title. The images alternate seduction, irony and provocation, restoring the contradictions of a society that sought new forms of freedom and representation.
The exhibition is not limited to the visual story: a musical thread links the works, with a Spotify playlists which accompanies the visitor in a truly immersive experience. Outside the Mole Antonelliana, four mirrored panels invite a game of cross-references between public and celebrity, in a continuous interweaving between reality and spectacle.
This is completed by a videoroom dedicated to vintage commercials and a film festival at the Maximum Cinemawhich broadens the view of the contaminations between cinema, music and costume.
