When in Rome…
House of the Green Count - Rivoli (TO)
includedFrom Friday 10.07.2026 to Sunday 2.08.2026
The group exhibition entitled When in Rome… It is a fascinating exhibition organised by the’The Friends of Art Association of Pianezza which aims to celebrate the extraordinary richness of communities through the expressive power of the painting. Held in the charming rooms of the Conte Verde House Museum by Rivoli, the exhibition takes the public on a true visual and emotional journey to discover villages, squares, local markets e ancient crafts which, as time goes by, are unfortunately in danger of disappearing.
The works on display, the result of the sensitivity and keen eye of the artists involved, restore a profound value to these places, which are regarded as true custodians of forms of knowledge, identity e popular traditions essential to preserve and pass on with care to future generations. Each canvas conveys its own history, of unique customs and ways of life, transforming painting into a fundamental tool for memory, knowledge and an ongoing dialogue between the past and the present.
The event also provides a prestigious opportunity to retrace the history of the’The Friends of Art Association of Pianezza, founded on 9 May 1996 thanks to the efforts of a group of citizens united by a passion for promoting the local historical, artistic and cultural heritage. Ever since its foundation, this organisation has actively promoted creativity in the local area through partnerships with painters, writers, poets e photographers, whilst at the same time supporting the restoration of works of art and organising cultural events hosted at historic villas, gardens e Romanesque churches. The exhibition, organised by the’Department of Culture of the City of Rivoli under the patronage of Piedmont Region e Metropolitan City, is an unmissable invitation to rediscover the profound value of one’s roots and of collective memory.
