Industrial Landscapes
A journey through Turin's urban transformations. Photographs by Mauro Vallinotto
National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento - Turin (TO)
includedFrom Wednesday 24.04.2024 to Sunday 26.05.2024
The photographic work of Mauro Vallinotto illustrates the complexity of the transformations that have affected Turin and the major municipalities of the metropolitan city over the last half century. A tale in images of spaces, emotions, stories and narratives of the different communities.
Through a constant comparison between yesterday and today, the photographs in the exhibition provide a unique opportunity to explore the past, present and future of industrial suburbs, highlighting their complexity and the opportunities related to the regeneration of large spaces.
Reflecting on the social, cultural and technological changes that have shaped these places over the course of fifty years allows us to open a window on the concrete actions that institutions and the many associations in the area are carrying out to design a conscious future for our cities and communities.
A project by the National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento and Unione Industriali Torino, on the occasion of Turin Capital of Enterprise Culture 2024.
This exhibition is part of EXPOSED Torino Foto Festival.
