Le Gallerie d'Italia - Turin host the exhibition Olivo Barbieri. Other Spaces, a new chapter in the project Great Italian Photography edited by Roberto Koch. After the exhibitions dedicated to Lisetta Carmi, Mimmo Jodice and Antonio Biasiuccithis edition celebrates the work of Olivo Barbieriexperimental photographer who explores the boundary between reality and representation.

The exhibition brings together over 150 worksmany previously unpublished, offering a summary of the long work Barbieri has dedicated to the China for more than thirty years. Divided into three sections, includes large triptychs, polyptychs and large picture galleriesoffering a fresh look at the country's transformation.

Barbieri's first trip to China took place in 1989during the events of Tiananmen Square. Since then, the photographer has been documenting the rapid urban developmentexploring themes related to modernity, sustainability and artificial intelligence. With innovative techniques such as the selective focus and aerial shootingtransforms reality into abstract visions. The project site specific_ captures Shanghai from above, giving the city an almost unreal appearance.

Through his works, Barbieri challenges the perception of reality, offering a unique and visionary visual experience.
