Occupied Territories

Occupied Territories is a photographic project by Fabio Bucciarelli, one of the most important international photojournalists, documenting over ten years of work in the territories marked by the’Israeli occupation: the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and the Lebanon. Edited by Lejla Hodzic and promoted by the Municipality of Vinovo, the exhibition takes shape as a coherent and immersive visual narrative, inviting the audience to explore the profound and everyday consequences of the conflict.

Far from any sensationalist logic, the 100 photographs exhibited - portraits, everyday scenes, landscapes - focus on looks, gestures, screw lived under siege, in a suspended time that alters the very meaning of existence. The exhibition, developed from the photographic book of the same name published by Dario Cimorelli Publisher, turns into a physical path: fifty iron rods support the images, creating a kind of architecture of pain, a sensory journey where the exhibition space amplifies the intensity of the message.

After stops in Sarajevo and Modena, the exhibition arrives at the Della Rovere Castle, a space that enhances the dimension reflective and interactive of the exhibition, offering the visitor an experience slow, engaging and critical. Occupied Territories does not merely show, but calls the viewer to questioning, to take an active part in the construction of a collective memory on the conflicts of our time.
