NOT - Not Only Toys

The exhibition NOT - Not Only Toys - When illustration takes shapecurated by Inchiostro Festival APS, is presented as an event innovative and surprisingbreaking down the barriers between traditional visual arts and new forms of expression. Staged in the historic Palatium Vetus, flanks the exhibition dedicated to Moncalvo and offers a selection of about 30 three-dimensional works made by 12 European artists - toy designers, ceramists and sculptors - who use contemporary visual languages to communicate profound messagesoften conveyed by irony and directness.

The exhibition explores the possibilities of transformation of illustration into a physical object, creating a dialogue between pop forms, visual culture and materials. Among the artists: Theodoru, The Rabbix, RX, Sebastiano De Rosa, Tokyo Tommy, Plazma, Nastia Calaca, El Gato Chimney, Elena Salmistraro, Giorgio Di Palma e Useless Scapes. Their creations - art toys, animal-like vases, ironic sculptures and playful ceramics - are living expressions of our time, often with a desecrating touch, raising questions about identity, memory and mass culture.
