Temporary exhibition
MonzArt at the Civic Museums. Ars Naturae
Monza Municipal Museums – Casa degli Umiliati - Monza (MB)
From Friday 9 October 2026 to Sunday 8.11.2026
From October onwards, the charming cloister of the City Museums of Monza is hosting the edition of MonzArt, a festival organised by the Contemporary art galleries in Monza in collaboration with the’Artista Cultural Association. The group exhibition, entitled Ars Naturae, takes the form of a fully-fledged exhibition itinerary that brings together the research of four contemporary artists with the fundamental visual and poetic legacy of Federica Galli.
The sculptures site-specific – carefully selected by ARCgallery, ARTIST, LEOgalleries e Monica Villa – transform the striking architectural setting of the cloister into a genuine narrative ecosystem. The work Black Algae by ValentinaKi explores the complex issue of toxic algae in the Baltic Sea, offering a powerful metaphor for humanity’s impact on the natural environment. Pino Di Gennaro presents Nomadic Forest, a group of vertical bronze sculptures that interact with one another, creating an interior landscape dedicated to the fragility of the planet and climate change. Installation A flower in the cloister by Franz Stähler It features an oversized floral motif emerging from the stone paving as a symbol of resilience and the rebirth of life. Finally, Marianna Gasperini exhibits Seeds, two large blown-glass sculptures that embody the primordial concept of transformation and origin.
By conceiving nature as a living, constantly evolving organism, the exhibition invites the public to slow down their gaze and rediscover a deep harmony with the complexity of the natural world.
NB: free admission to the exhibition in the cloister only; full museum admission applies
