Underwater Worlds Dr.Owning

The exhibition SUBMITTED WORLDScurated by Sofia Tonegutti e Emanuele Beluffi, presents the work of Resi Girardellofocused on the installation SUBMERGED VENICE. This work was inspired by a 2020 article published in Sciencewhich predicted that by 2100 therising seas could drastically alter the environment and the historical heritage of coastal cities such as Venice, New York, Singapore e Tokyo. Through this installation and other visual and multimedia works, the artist intends to raise awareness the public on the urgency of adopting more sustainable to defend our urban contexts.

The exhibition combines contemporary art, installations multimedia/digital and contents of science and technologyinvestigating the vulnerability of coastal metropolises with an evocative and poetic language. The exhibition engages visitors in a reflection on the balance between beauty, fragility and responsibility towards the environment.
