included
From Saturday 30.11.2024 to Sunday 23.03.2025

The Como Silk Museum hosts the solo exhibition of Mimmo Totaro entitled The Hidden Dimension. Beyond Forman extraordinary journey into the world of fibre art. Curated by Luigi Cavadini in collaboration with the museum, the exhibition offers an innovative perspective on Totaro's work, exploring the relationship between textile art and user. This dialogue is not limited to the visual, but extends to spatial and tactile perception, creating a unique sensory experience.

Inspired by Saint-Exupéry's famous phrase The essential is invisible to the eyesthe exhibition invites visitors to discover the depth hidden behind the surface of the works. The initiative is distinguished by its focus on theaccessibilityincluding panels in braille and a section dedicated to tactile works, designed to engage visitors with different sensory abilities.

This exhibition is part of the rich cultural heritage of the Museo della Seta, which has been celebrating Como's textile tradition since 1990. Part of the Creative Cities UNESCOComo thus strengthens its position as the capital of textile art, thanks to projects such as this one, made possible by the support of the Lombardy Region and PNRR-NextGenerationEU funds.
