Viù Valley diffuse museum - former Confraternity of the Holy Name of Jesus - Lemie (TO)

The Tazzetti Museum celebrates its 20th anniversary with a temporary exhibition dedicated to theimmigrationexploring the historical migrations of Italians and contemporary experiences in the Lanzo Valleys. Divided into three venues, the exhibition starts in July and August in Usseglio e Lemieand then moved to Turin in the autumn. Edited by Mauro e Lorenzo Vallinotto together with Alberto Tazzettipresents an extensive collection of photographs, texts, footage e local documents. Usseglio houses historical black-and-white and sepia images of past emigrations, while Lemie shows the complexity of modern migration through colour photographs.
Works of Gabriele Garbolino Rùincluding sculpture New wheatsymbolise thereception and theintegration. The catalogue includes photographs and contributions by well-known experts on theimmigration. In addition, there will be in-depth meetings summer with academics from theUniversity of Turin. This exhibition not only celebrates the history of migration, but also stimulates critical reflection on the contemporary society and its reception towards new arrivals.
