Marisa Merz. The Dance of the Hours

The centenary celebrations marking the birth of Marisa Merz It takes the form of an extraordinary retrospective, divided into three acts which encompass the entire artistic output of the only female artist of the’Arte Povera. This unprecedented exhibition explores the open-ended and ever-changing nature of his work, bringing together historic installations, previously unseen works and dialogues with his current creative output.

In the space of the Merz Foundation, the editors Beatrice Merz e Sébastien Delot they focus attention on the processes of transformation, on the apparent imbalance and on the material quality of the works. Here, the skilful use of the copper wire, of the living sculptures and raw materials, highlighting the subtle interplay between high art and everyday practices.
