Six hundred years after entering the domain of the Serenissimathe MuSa dedicates an extraordinary exhibition project to the history of the Magnificent Homeland, the unique political-administrative community that for centuries united the municipalities of the Garda Riviera and the hinterland of Brescia. The exhibition, curated by experts from the’ASAR (Historical Artistic Association of the Riviera) and academics, unfolds through a valuable selection of period documents, historical maps and archive materials that testify to the autonomy and prestige of this territory.
At the heart of the narrative is an evocative immersive room which allows visitors to take a journey through time, reliving the atmosphere of the heyday between the 15th and 17th centuries. The multimedia tale delves not only into the political dynamics, but also into the economic excellences that have made the area famous, such as the flourishing paper industry, among the most important of the’Northern Italy. Through the support of digital technologies, the public can explore the internal organisation of the federation, discovering the crucial role of the Community Council and its deputies. This cultural celebration is not just an exhibition, but a tribute to the historical identity of Salò and its indissoluble link with Venice, offering an unprecedented perspective on an administrative system that represented a true unicum in the panorama of the Republic of St. Mark.
