The result of a major commission from Intesa Sanpaolo, the exhibition itinerary presents a narrative in images that takes visitors on a journey through a’Europe physical, political and emotional, constantly intertwining the historical dimension, the present and future prospects.
Via over sixty images With great visual and narrative impact, the author embarks on a long journey of exploration that begins at the eastern borders, situated between Turkey, Armenia e Georgia, until we reached the cliffs of the’Atlantic Ocean along the eastern-facing coasts of Portugal e France. From the harsh latitudes of the the Far North in the Svalbard Islands, the photographer’s gaze extends as far as the Mediterranean southern part of Lampedusa and on the volcanic slopes of the’Etna.
A visual exploration reveals a continent characterised by an infinite variety of landscapes and a constant interplay of echoes between distant territories. What emerges is a complex vision in which the monumental legacies of past centuries coexist with the traces of recent historical tragedies, reflecting the irreducible diversity of European identities.
