The exhibition The Bronze Age celebrates the equestrian sculpture e animal rights activist through a selection of bronze works by Italian and international artists from the collections of the Museo Storico dell'Arma di Cavalleria. Among the protagonists is Paul Troubetzkoy, an early 20th century master, famous for his refined depictions of animals in motion, exhibited in cities such as San Francisco, St. Petersburg, New York, Paris, Rome, Stockholm and Moscow. Next to him, the works of Pierre-Jules Mènea 19th-century French sculptor considered among the pioneers of animal sculpture, and by Carlo Marochettiauthor of the equestrian monument to Emanuele Filiberto in Turin's Piazza San Carlo, considered his masterpiece.
The exhibition is set in the unique context of the Museum, housed in the historic former Fenulli Barracks, home of the Cavalry Application School since 1849. With more than 5,000 square metres spread over three floors and more than 40 rooms, the museum offers a journey through the history of the Cavalry, with uniforms, decorations, weapons, carriages and a rich photographic journey documenting academic life and the illustrious figures who have marked its history .
