The format Face to face with Leonardowhich explores the Master's works preserved at the Royal Library of Turinreturns this year with a version dedicated to the famous Self-portrait of Leonardo da Vincian icon in the history of art. Located under theHigh Patronage of the President of the Republic and under the patronage of Piedmont Region, the exhibition presents over 60 worksincluding 15 originals by Leonardoincluding six sheets of the Atlantic Code.
The exhibition, enriched by loans from Italian institutions and private collections, offers evidence of Leonardo's late activity. In addition, the Sabauda Gallery dedicates a room to Leonardo's artists, highlighting the relevance of his lesson. The sculptures of Giuliano Vangi offer a contemporary look at the depiction of the face. The experience is made unique by the presence of amultimedia installationallowing the public an immersion into Leonardo's universe. A video narrates the journey of theLeonardo's Self-Portrait and the Code on Mars thanks to an idea taken up by the NASA.
During the exhibition, the façade of Royal Palace will host a videomappingsupported by Council for the Enhancement of the Artistic and Cultural Heritage of Turin and theUnione Industriali Torinowith the contribution of Salvatore Ronga srl and of SMART Turin.
