A collective photographic exhibition that tells the story of a unique era, that of the Italian rock festivals of the 1970s, through the authentic gaze of eight photographers and a great graphic designer. The other side of the moon. The 1970s and the utopia of the Rock Festival, edited by Barbara Cattaneo, Luigi Erba e Roberto Mutti, immerses us in a period of cultural rebellion, collective utopia e music as a social language.
From first edition of the Re Nudo Festival in 1971 in Ballabio, until Milanese consecration of the Festival of Youth Proletariat in 1974, the exhibition follows in the footsteps of a movement that marked a break between conservatism and new forms of youth expression. The images on display, created by photographers such as Aldo Manessier, Dino Fracchia, Fabio Minotti, Renato Corsini, Gabriele Basil, Giovanna Calvenzi, Silvia Lelli e Roberto Masotti, they are not simple reports, but participatory testimonials of a generation in turmoil.
To complete the visual journey, a selection of provocative posters of the famous Giancarlo Iliprandi, whose graphic design challenged the visual conventions of the time. The exhibition is housed in the Photo library of the Palazzo delle Paure, a space designed to enhance the photography and theart on paper, offering the public a story rich in memory, passion and vision.
Accompanied by a illustrated catalogue, the exhibition will be enriched by guided tours, meetings, e educational workshops, creating an immersive, intergenerational experience.
