The Milky Way. 10 years of exhibitions in Pavarolo

The Municipality of Pavarolo and theCasorati Archive celebrate a milestone in the valorisation of the local artistic heritage: a decade of fervent cultural activity by the Felice Casorati Museum Studio. The diffuse group exhibition, entitled The Milky Way, transforms the entire village into a constellation of works and memories, celebrating the journey undertaken in the 2016. The title, a learned reference to the magazine of the same name founded by the master Felice Casorati at 1913, today becomes a powerful metaphor for ten years of incessant dialogue between the casoratian poetics, its historical sites and the contemporary research.

The exhibition route winds its way through the focal points of the area, creating an ideal bridge between the masters of the Twentieth century - as Daphne Maugham e Carlo Levi - and the current avant-garde. At the Studio Museum, visitors can immerse themselves in the creative intimacy of the Casorati family, while the Veranda of Casa Casorati opens a profound reflection on the matter and on the nature. The exhibition extends to the Bell Tower, venue of the video art exhibition “Visionary”, and culminates in the’Former Emporium, a documentary space tracing the graphic and conceptual evolution of a successful decade.
