Jorge R. Pombo. Universal Judgement

Within the Cathedral Space of Steam Factorya symbolic place in Milan's manufacturing and cultural history, the project takes shape Last Judgement by Jorge R. PomboCatalan artist known for his style of '.fade". The exhibition, curated by Vera Agosti e Matteo Paciniis a monumental pictorial work that reinterprets the famous fresco by Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel, using an immersive and deeply participatory language.

With a main canvas of 180 square metres and six side variations dedicated to episodes from the lives of Moses e Jesus Christ, Pombo melts renaissance classicism e action painting, creating a dynamic language that emotionally engages the viewer. The project also takes on a strong valence socialthrough the active involvement of people in exclusionwhich contribute to the realisation of the work.

This initiative is part of the celebrations for the 550 years since the birth of Michelangelo Buonarrotioffering a reflection on the Maestro's legacy and the role of painting in contemporary society. The experience is made even more intense by a public programme which includes moments of direct participation and creative workshops for all ages.

Pombo's exhibition, there will be a creative workshop open to all, in which they will experiment with different materials and techniques to give shape to their own personal reinterpretation.
