On the centenary of Surrealism, the Mallé Museum celebrates with the donation of a photographic work by Aldo Gallianopart of the cycle Images to listen to. The series The Parisian dream offers dreamlike still lives, transforming the ordinary into something disturbing. The use of 120mm film and the digital printing give the images a historical and artistic aura, re-reading the avant-gardes of the last century in a contemporary key, playing with the polarities of the black and the white.
The 16th century mathematician and physician, Gerolamo Cardanoin his work On dreaming and dreamingpositions the dream within the phantasia, a faculty that allows knowledge through images, illuminating the interiority of the dreamer. Galliano's works, if transposed into the interiority of the viewer, can reveal aspects of the unconscious world, evoking memories and emotions. These images are not only to be seen or observed, but above all to be listened to, because they speak a language that goes beyond sight, reaching directly into the soul, like notes of a visual symphony that winds between reality and surreality.
