The meaning of the image

Milan Museum of Natural History - Milan (MI)

included
From Thursday 23.05.2024 to Sunday 14.07.2024

The Natural History Museum in Milan presents the exhibition The meaning of the image by Sandra Tenconipromoted by the Municipality of Milan Culture and the Museum of Natural History under the curatorship of Paolo Biscottini.

With this exhibition, the artist intends to bring to the public's attention a series of paintings that focus on his concern for nature. Whether it be mountains, glaciers, rock formations or flowers, the Varese-based painter casts her gaze over the world around us, searching in it the beauty of landscapes and allowing his imagination to flow from meadows or snow to blue skies, never giving in to naturalistic temptations but always allowing his creative force that reinvention of the world in a poetic sense, which remains one of the highest qualities of art.

All of Sandra Tenconi's long activity has had nature as its reference point, read and told through different expressive means: pencil, charcoal and pen drawing; pastel; acrylic colour. The Museum is therefore the ideal place to exhibit an anthology of her most recent works.
