Temporary exhibition
The Enchanted Castle
Rivoli Castle | Museum of Contemporary Art - Rivoli (TO)
From Tuesday 29 September 2026 to Sunday 28 March 2027
The Enchanted Castle It is not just an exhibition project, but also an educational one, conceived and organised with non-adults involved in the process of engaging with contemporary art. The project identifies in the younger people the ideal visitors to the museum, both now and in the future. The Enchanted Castle is inspired by the idea of agora, the main public square in the cities of ancient Greece, promoting the idea of a museum as a place for meeting and discussion, a pedagogical, experiential, inclusive and citizenship education.
For the new 2026 edition, The Enchanted Castle presents an exhibition programme focusing on leading artists, both male and female, whose works have made a fundamental contribution to the history of the collection and the exhibitions at the Rivoli Castle. The project features works by John Baldessari, William Kentridge, Otobong Nkanga e Paola Pivi.
Special guests at the 2026 edition are Peter Friedl with No prey, no pay, a large-scale installation inspired by pirates and their forgotten tales, and Rivane Neuenschwander with dream.lab. Neuenschwander’s project draws inspiration from the creatures and monsters that inhabit children’s dreams. This new version of the work, produced by the Museum, also draws inspiration from drawings by local children who took part in the workshops organised by the Education Department as specified by the artist.
