The child between art and mythology
House of the Green Count - Rivoli (TO)
includedFrom Friday 7.11.2025 to Sunday 7.12.2025
A journey visual and poetic which celebrates childhood through the encounter between art and mythology: the exhibition The child between art and mythology, signed by the artists Vanessa Laustino e Angela Policastro, proposes an evocative route that winds its way through dreamlike images, child figures, games, dances e imaginary journeys.
Set up at Conte Verde House Museum and curated by critic Angelo Mistrangelo, exhibition is part of the initiatives for the International Day of the Rights of the Child, offering an intense and lyrical reflection on the world of children. Laustino's works are distinguished by the use delicate and incisive colour, as in the painting “Asterope The Pleiades”, while Policastro explores myth through works such as “Ares and Aphrodite”, with a textured painting and loaded with symbolic suggestions.
Both artists from Turin bring to the exhibition a universe rich in cultural and personal cross-references: Laustino, with her literary and pictorial background, and Policastro, with her sculptural training and long international exhibition experience. The result is a harmonious blend between the everyday and the legendary, between the world of the child and that of myth, stimulating emotions and reflections on the value of imagination and growth.
