From Saturday 25.10.2025 to Sunday 25.01.2026

The exhibition The Three Greats of Spain: the Art of Dalí, Miró and Picassocurated by Joan Abellóoffers an immersive journey into the history of 20th century avant-gardes through three of its most illustrious protagonists: Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró and Salvador Dalí. The exhibition, with over 250 works from prestigious international institutions and private collections, represents a unique opportunity to discover the languages that have shaped the face of themodern art.

Numerous works on paper, engravings and prints document the highest common denominator that characterised the formation and development of the art of three undisputed protagonists of the 20th century. The exhibition brings together well-known and lesser-known works, some of which are being exhibited in Italy for the first time, to recount, through contrasts and affinities, an imaginative dialogue of these visionary trio, united by much more than a mere geographical place of birth.

The route is divided into five sections that lead the visitor from the artists' training to the cultural fervour of the Cataloniauntil the meeting with the Paris of the avant-gardethe epicentre of their creative development. The peculiarities of each language thus emerge: the visionary power of Picasso, the symbolic poetry of Miró, the dreamlike imagery of Dalí.

A central part is dedicated to the Surrealismmovement that gave voice to the unconscious and individual identity, highlighting the decisive contribution of Spanish artists between Madrid, Barcelona, Tenerife and Zaragoza. Alongside the celebration of creative genius, the exhibition also deals with the shadows of an era crossed by wars and dictatorshipswhich profoundly marked the lives and works of these masters.

This exhibition not only recounts a fundamental chapter of the art historybut allows us to understand how the dialogue between the works of three giants still resonates in our contemporary world.
