From Friday 24.10.2025 to Tuesday 25.11.2025

The exhibition The Threads of Destiny by Theodolinda Caorlin lands in Villa Bernasconi of Cernobbio with the textile work Metamorphosis, the symbolic heart of the exhibition project. In a place steeped in history and meanings linked to the silk tradition, the Venetian artist proposes an installation that becomes bridge between memory and contemporaneity. The work is part of ideal dialogue with the Art Nouveau rooms of the villa, decorated with motifs celebrating the silkworm, in a visual and conceptual correspondence that emphasises metamorphosis as a process of growth and rebirth.

Metamorphosis is a work strongly evocative, which explores the themes of destiny, inner transformation and the cyclical nature of time. The choice to host it at Villa Bernasconi is not random: the building itself, with its symbolic value and link to the productive identity of the area, becomes an integral part of the installation. The initiative, supported by a network of institutions linked to the Italian textile culture, is part of the dialogue between Como and Biella, both UNESCO Creative Cities, and confirms the importance of textile art in the contemporary landscape.
