The exhibition The threads of destinyartist's solo exhibition Theodolinda Caorlinrepresents an intense journey into the world of thecontemporary textile artin which the thread becomes a metaphor for life and destiny. Hosted at the Como Silk MuseumThe exhibition is divided into 28 works divided into two sections: one abstractfocused on universal concepts such as time, threshold e destinyand one notionaldominated by symbolic and human presences. Prominent among these is the cycle "7+1 Capital Vices", which includes an added figure - the Fear - understood as a primary existential condition.

Edited by Elena Bermond des Ambrois, Chiara Ghizzoni e Dina Pierallinithe exhibition emphasises the importance of textiles as language of memory e register of inner time. Caorlin's works intertwine biography and abstractionallowing visitors to recognise their own personal narrative. The mythological reference to the Moire - Cloto, Lachesi and Atropo - emphasises the symbolic power of the thread, guardian of a destiny that transcends even the gods.

An integral part of the Lake Como Creative Week UNESCOthe initiative also involves the Villa Bernasconi Museum in Cernobbiowhere the work will be exhibited Metamorphosisreinforcing the link between Como and Biella, both UNESCO Creative Cities for Crafts. The project is rounded off with an extensive side programme: talk, textile workshops, meetings with the artist, e thematic guided toursvaluing textiles as shared intangible heritage.
