The exhibition Giovan Battista Scultori. Carver of prints and excellent sculptor at Mantua's Ducal Palace offers an unprecedented opportunity to discover the work of a Renaissance artist of great importance, but often overlooked by the general public. Staged in the evocative setting of the Palazzina della Rusticadesigned by Giulio Romano, master sculptor, the exhibition presents twenty-five prints, three plates on copper of the artist and jewellery.

Sculptors (1503-1575) is a key figure in the birth of the 16th-century Mantuan school of engraving, but his significance has long been underestimated. The exhibition is part of the tour of Ducal Palaceenriched by the recent restoration of the Cavallerizza with a view of the lakes. At no extra cost, visitors can explore this artistic treasure.

The work of Sculptorspraised by Giorgio VasariIt offers a privileged look at the artistic production of the 16th century, with rarely exhibited engravings and precious art objects. The exhibition contributes to solving many historical enigmas related to the relationship between Sculptors e Giulio Romanoand the purposes of his works, which go beyond mere commercial purposes.
