GALLERIA INTERATTIVA “LEONARDO IN ADDA”

What awaits the visitor is a leap back in time in the company of Leonardo. His voice guides and instructs, dwelling on the studies of water motion that he extensively practised along the banks of the Adda and Naviglio. Part of these studies make up the Codex Atlanticus, preserved in nearby Milan and copied here. Emphasis is placed on the interest in landscapes, light, and direct experiences that the Maestro so loved to make and which he used as the basis for his theories. It is an immersive experience that unfolds in three rooms. Sala Teatro del Codice Atlantico (Atlantic Codex Theatre Room): in imitation of an old print shop equipped with desks and chests of drawers, containing anastatic copies of around 300 sheets of the Atlantic Codex that visitors can view and touch. The Treatise Room of Motions and Waters: a large tank showing the motions of water studied by Leonardo: waves, flows and vortices. An experience of great visual impact. Hall of the territory: summarises the Maestro's fervid activity in the Adda valley and in the pre-alpine valleys with sketches, maps, detailed drawings and the precise zenithal representation of the middle course of the Adda.
