The exhibition Imaginary bordersartists' double solo exhibition Cristiana de Marchi e Dado Schapiraproposes a journey into the symbolic and physical universe of the border. Through a poetic use of threads, fabrics and mapsartists explore crucial themes such as identity, the nationality, the memory and the geographical and mental divisionsturning barriers into connecting visual works.

Hosted within the halls of 'A space for art' and an integral part of the event M(a)y Fibrethe exhibition reflects on thetextile art between tradition and sustainability. de Marchi's installations are distinguished by a research conceptual and minimalistfocused on the monochrome and on the use unedited embroidery as a critical and narrative tool. Schapira's works, on the other hand, weave coloured threads in compositions that evoke emotions, stories and geographies.

The works thus become spaces open to the reflection, loaded with symbolic meaning and capable of provoking multiple readings. The interaction between signs, maps and symbols becomes an invitation to rethink the power structures and the perception of space.
