FO.CO - Exposing Contemporary Photography

FO.CO - Exposing Contemporary Photography returns with its second edition, confirming itself as one of the most dynamics e innovative dedicated to the emerging contemporary photography. The project, conceived by the Free Academy of Fine Arts LABA of Brescia in collaboration with the Cavallerizza - Centre of Italian Photography, aims to enhance new talents under 35 and to strengthen Brescia's role as a reference point in the national photographic scene.

Through a group exhibition and two in-depth meetings dedicated to the relationship between technology and the contemporary image, FO.CO offers an insight into the new frontiers of photography, touching on topics related to the postphotography and to themedia hybridisation. The 35 artists selected - from over 140 applications - present projects capable of questioning the present, proposing original looks, intimate paths e visual reflections that tell our time through the language of photography.

The initiative stands out for its ability to combine training, experimentation e cultural dissemination, offering visitors an immersive experience in the heart of the contemporary visual research. The exhibition is part of the celebratory calendar “LABA-25”for the 25th anniversary of the Academy, and is enriched by the presence of the Amaduzzi Library, one of the most important collections of photographic publishing in Italy.
