Felice Casorati Designer. Parallels is an exhibition linking the creative universe of Felice Casoratiprotagonist of 20th century Italian art, with the contemporary and experimental approach of the designer Piergiorgio Robino and its Core Studio. The initiative, promoted by the Municipality of Pavarolo and curated by theCasorati Archiveis developed in three evocative locations: the Casorati Museum Studio, the Veranda of Casa Casorati and the Bell Tower of the village.
Through an unprecedented set-up, they compare prototypes and historical furnishings signed by Casorati, from the Archive and private collections, with unique works by Studio Nucleo, including the series Absencesmade with technology 3Dand pieces such as the Chaise en l'occurence. The exhibition is accompanied by a critical essay by Damiano Gullìwho recognised Casorati as a pioneer of Italian design, thanks to the purity of his forms and anticipatory vision.
Piergiorgio Robino's intervention fits respectfully and innovatively into historical places, creating parallels between eras, languages and materials. The exhibition experience is enriched with a multidisciplinary performance site-specific, ABSENT FLOWERSby the YoY Performing Art company, and with a social design residence by Francesca Soleroinvolving the local community.
Free admission and open every Sunday make this appointment a valuable opportunity to explore the dialogue between art, design and memory in one of the most picturesque villages in Piedmont.
