Temporary exhibition

Ettore Sottsass. Mise en scène

Triennale Milan - Milan (MI)

included
From Friday 12.12.2025 to Sunday 15.02.2026

This exhibition marks the beginning of a new chapter in research dedicated to Ettore Sottsass, produced in collaboration with Sottsass Studio. The exhibition brings together around 1,200 photographs, in black and white and colour, taken between 1976 and 2007: the years between the first meeting between Barbara Radice and Ettore Sottsass until his death.

The result is a rich visual landscape in which private and public life flow without clear boundaries: domestic moments, travels, work, friendships, encounters around the world. For Sottsass and Radice, everyday life never knew any real separation between the personal and the professional.

The title of the exhibition refers to an idea dear to Sottsass: that of life as a sort of staging, similar to Commedia dell'Arte, where everything unfolds according to a loosely sketched outline and is left to improvisation.
