Temporary exhibition
Entanglements
Pirelli HangarBicocca - Milan (MI)

From Thursday 18.09.2025 to Sunday 11.01.2026
The exhibition Entanglements by Yuko Mohri, edited by Fiammetta Griccioli and Vicente Todolípresents a unique site-specific installation in the space of the Shed at Pirelli HangarBicocca. Mohri develops an artistic language that combines everyday objects, organic elements, sounds, sensors and circuits, constructing kinetic sculptures e sound assemblages that respond to imperceptible environmental phenomena such as gravity, magnetism, heat, humidity, dust and light. In these works everything is related: the artist creates networks of interconnections where theunstable becomes aesthetic material and the sound dimension an integral part of the vision.
The exhibition offers an immersive, almost ecological experience that highlights the social coexistence and the fragility of natural and artificial balances. In addition to recent works, Mohri reworks existing works to respond to the specific space of the Shed, which becomes living context, an active part of the exhibition system. The catalogue accompanies the project with critical essays, texts by the artist and cultural contributions that help to decipher the philosophical, musical, visual and pop references and the contaminations with kinetic art. Ran Kurumi's Shōjo manga introduces a narrative and illustrative dimension to the author's artistic journey.
The visitor is invited to reflect on how nothing exists in isolation: every object, sound and human body is part of an invisible, ever-changing tangle. Subtle irony and a playful dimension go hand in hand with the seriousness of environmental issues, creating a dialogue between art, nature and technology.
